Dear all supporters,

We hope you all had an enjoyable summer. We definitely enjoyed ours, it was productive, busy and fruitful!

We have many exciting updates this time and here we go!

Our website palstrap.com is updated. More importantly we have setup a pre-order channel at Backerkit - http://palstrap.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders   We had quite a few people asking about ordering and we are very excited to offer pre-orders now. Please help spread the news to friends who missed the Kickstarter campaign window, it’s not too late!

Production tooling is in fabrication. We have gone through 2 full months of detail design review with factory. We believe our latest GPS chipset and antenna arrangement will give an even better signal reception. The latest hardware also makes AGPS possible, though we need to get through some challenges related to firmware / access to AGPS database, etc.

We estimate the delivery schedule of Pal will be slightly delayed to late November, and delivery of Pal-T2 for Time 2 remains Feb next year.

We are working hard to make this happen and making sure to provide the best quality in our straps. Please note that we put our original backers as top priority and we will ship your items first when the time comes. Thanks for your patience.

For those who backed combo with Pebble Time / Time Steel, we expect shipment from Pebble to us next week. Upon receiving them we will send them out in no time.

Dear Pal Supporters,

I hope you are having a great summer time!  We have been working as hard as we have been.  No lazy time.

The survey of Pal is almost complete.  We still have some backers not yet responding to our survey.  We are following with them individually to complete the exercise.  If you are one of them, please respond and help us wrap up the information collection process.

For those who backed us combo with Pebble Time watches, we have consolidated the watches quantity and is arranging with Pebble the logistics.  Hopefully it won’t take long.

Lots of our efforts were spent on liaising with manufacturing partner for Pal.  We have finally lined up with a very experienced factory which is strong in manufacturing and testing GPS products.  We are in a stage to refine design for better manufacturability.  Time is tight but we shall keep the target.

Some good progress on the technical side.  We may be able to include AGPS function in Pal.  If we can finally achieve so, we can much reduce the initial GPS log time from 1 minute to 10 seconds!    Let’s keep our finger crossed!

So much for now and we shall keep you updated regularly.

Survey Arrangement + Refund of Pal-TR and Pal-P2

@All Pebble and Pal Supporters:

Thanks again for your support.  We have been working non-stop since the end of the campaign.

We have been following lots of post-campaign logistics, such as setting up purchase window for those who just missed the campaign offer, discussion with logistic partners etc. We have spent most efforts in touching up our design and discussing with manufacturing partners. We noticed questions and comments related to color choices and arrangement of survey etc. We are handling them step by step and hopefully we are giving you better visibility through this update.

1） A bad news first. We have announced last week to backers on Pal-TR (for Time Round) and Pal-P2 (for Pebble 2) that we are refunding their pledges. We didn't get enough pledges towards these two models to make manufacture feasible. Non-mass production method would yield only sub-par product which we don’t want. It was a tough decision to decide refunding to backers. Emails to backers have been sent out and refund shall be completed within the next few days.

2） We are working on the survey. Sorry that this is not coming as fast as many of you expecting. We need to settle the Pal-TR and Pal-P2 refund arrangement first. The design of the survey is also a bit complicated as we are offering 2 versions of Pals (Pal & Pal-T2) with different delivery time, and we are also offering Pebble watches --  all of which have many different colors to select. We will be conducting survey on rewards with Pebble watches first. This shall be done within the coming 2 weeks. Survey of the Pal and Pal-T2 will come later. Please let us work step by step. Sorry to keep you waiting and thanks for your patience.

It's unbelievable that today has arrived! Thank you so much for your support from the bottom of our hearts! We are taking a few days to get some very much needed sleep and then will start sending out the surveys early next week. We will continue to answer questions and make updates on progress as well. We can't wait to get started on getting your Pebbles a Pal!
